The Scale Factory are thrilled to announced that Sheinal Bhuralal is joining our Advisory Board
Sheinal brings a unique lens to how finance and sales contributes in driving commercial success at organisations, benefitting from diverse experiences across banking and finance, venture-backed startups, venture investing, and being an early stage investor and entrepreneur in his own right.
Sheinal spent the majority of his early career in finance, advising institutional clients on equity markets in Asia, first at Macquarie and then at CLSA. Sheinal left banking to go to join MIT's Sloan Fellows program, with an eye to gain a deeper appreciation of some of the technology changes that were increasingly impacting every business.
He joined EFL, a venture-backed fintech as MD of Asia and Africa, responsible for driving sales and customer success. EFL subsequently merged with Lenddo and he was thrown in at the deep-end, becoming CFO of the newly combined company. Together, he got to understand the inherent challenges between meeting the numbers and delivering high quality outputs, all whilst trying to manage runway judiciously.
Sheinal was able to further round out his experiences through his role as Senior Portfolio Director at JG Digital Equity Ventures, the venture capital arm of JG Summit, looking at Pre Series-A to Series B companies in fintech, supply chain & logistics and e-commerce.
Sheinal is active as an early stage investor and is also an owner of one of the largest flexible work-space operators in Portugal. He loves to play tennis and is always keen for a game.
Sheinal completed the Executive Certificate in Directorship from SID-SMU and is a member of the MIT Committee of Singapore.
